Avebury environs

There were originally four 'avenues' of parallel stones, leading to the Avebury monument (just over the hill). Now, only one remains - the West Kennet Avenue.
(below) Windmill Hill - site of even earlier settlement. The markers show the location of previous archaeological finds.
